Apricot Cheese Wafers

1/2 cup margarine, softened
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup dried apricots, finely chopped

With an electric mixer cream margarine and cream cheese. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until fluffy. By hand, stir in the flour and apricots; mix until combined.

Shape the dough into four or five logs about 1-inch in diameter. Wrap each log in wax paper. Chill for three or more hours.

Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices. Place an inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
